Website terms of use
Last updated October 2026
These terms apply to your use of thelandlorddesk.co.uk (the “website”), operated by The Landlord Desk. By using the website you agree to them. Separate terms will apply to any paid service you buy from us, and we will give you those before you commit.
Information on this website
We explain landlord registration rules in plain English to help you understand them. This is general information, not legal advice. Rules and government timetables can change, so check GOV.UK for the latest position or take professional advice for your circumstances.
Independent service
The Landlord Desk is an independent business. We are not a government body and are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government or any local council. Landlords remain legally responsible for their own registration on the Private Rented Sector Database.
Registering your interest
Registering your interest is free and does not commit you to buying anything. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email from us or by contacting hello@thelandlorddesk.co.uk.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the website, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, introducing malicious code, or submitting false or automated sign-ups.
Intellectual property
The content and design of this website belong to The Landlord Desk. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use, but not copy or reuse them without our permission.
Liability
We take care to keep the website accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
